The Fellowship Church is a new church in the Sweetwater Valley with small groups currently meeting in Monroe, McMinn, and Loudon counties with a vision of seeing more small groups forming in Meigs and Roane county soon.
We are a Christian fellowship attempting to reach the people of the Sweetwater Valley with the Gospel, targeting the unchurched and the hurting. Furthermore, we strive to reach out with the Gospel from our own homes to the ends of the earth. Our desire is to glorify God by providing an atmosphere of fellowship, worship and ministry that will reach our contemporary culture, to equip our family of faith to worship our God with our lives, and to intentionally reproduce ourselves by strategic planting of other fellowships until Jesus comes.
We believe fellowship is vital in three areas:
(1) Fellowship with the Father—The most important relationship is with our Heavenly Father. So our central emphasis is teaching and modeling the importance of an abiding fellowship with the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ.
(2) Fellowship with the Family—We also believe, as followers of Christ, we must connect with one another through fellowship as a family of faith. So, we gather regularly for worship, connect fellowships, and special events where we grow in our relationships with God and in our relationships with each other.
(3) Fellowship with the Fallen—Finally, we intentionally seek to build relationships with those who are not already Christ followers, seeking to love them like Jesus loves us and introduce them to Him. We seek not only to be compassionate friends, but we also intentionally seek to reproduce new fellowships of believers in our own city, our region, our nation, and in the remotest parts of the earth.
